Today, Gredelj Rolling Stock Factory LLC under bankruptcy proceedings and its American partner National Railway Equipment Company (NRE) transported to the port of Rijeka the first of the two locomotives for Tanzania and Zambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the port of Rijeka, the locomotives will be delivered to the end customer \u2013 Tazara company (TANZANIA-ZAMBIA RAILWAY AUTHORITY). Delivering locomotives to these countries has created a good basis for continuation of the delivery of locomotives as well as for opening of new markets on the African continent. The locomotives were produced in Gredelj\u2019s facilities, with the delivery of drive components by the US partner company NRE, and the project was carried out i.e. realized according to the joint documentation of Gredelj and NRE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gredelj\u2019s cooperation with this US company has so far resulted in the production and delivery of altogether 83 (eighty three) locomotives, and currently there are another three locomotives of the same series being produced in Gredelj\u2019s plants. All the locomotives were delivered to foreign markets, i.e. to South America, Africa and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of this month, Gredelj and NRE should sign a contract for another 8 (eight) locomotives, which confirms NRE\u2019s interest for continued production of locomotives in Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to this project, the cooperation of the American NRE company and Rolling Stock Factory Gredelj LLC under bankruptcy proceedings was also continued by the project of delivery of equipment and documentation for modernization of a total of 12 (twelve) locomotives for Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis project is a continuation of a long-standing cooperation with the US National Railway Equipment Company (NRE) for which TZV Gredelj already delivered a large number of new, reconstructed and modernized locomotives which are operating throughout the world. I believe that the successful completion of this project together with our US partner reaffirms the high level of expertise and competence of Gredelj experts and justifies the confidence placed in them. Our imperative is to meet the demands and satisfy customer interests and to be present and recognized as a quality partner in as many markets as possible. Tanzania and Zambia are the following destinations where we will, together with the US partner, deliver diesel locomotives and we hope and wish for new markets. Altogether 83 (eighty three) locomotives, out of which number 49 (forty nine) locos since opening of the bankruptcy proceedings, have been produced by our experts in our facilities. I consider this to be a specially great success and proof of our capabilities and quality in production and repair of rolling stock as well as of competitiveness in the demanding international market.
