Design and development of products

Today’s trend in selling the products is to offer the customers products tailored to their requirements and needs. Wide range of Gredelj’s rolling stock products adjusted for the customers stipulates a strong Design and Development Office as well as support by the entire technical and technological structure within the company.
Although Gredelj is known as „mechanical“ company, in recent years it has strongly developed also in the field of rolling stock control.
Today Gredelj’s activites include design of carbody and interior of trams, design of freight cars and passenger coaches, design of carbodies, interior as well as coordination and installation of train systems, design and coordination of new diesel locomotive systems, including locomotive control. With the help of eminent manufacturers of specific rail equipment, we develop and install drive systems, electric and electronic systems, air systems as well as safety and control systems for rolling stock.
If a customer would like the existing railway vehicle to be modernized or reconstructed, TZV Gredelj can offer a very wide range of projects, including mounting of new interiors on the coaches, reconstruction of a passenger coach into a push-and-pull wagon, exchange of drive and auxiliary locomotive systems, installation of microprocessor control, all according to the required standards and norms.
The above challenges require constant care of personnel and their additional education, resulting in some one hundred engineers and technicians in the field of design, development, technique, technology and IT, and their number is still increasing.

Welding

Gredelj currently has approximately eighty certified welders at its disposal, who are qualified for several welding procedures at the same time.
Robot welding stations are also included in the welding processes.
TZV Gredelj has been authorized and certified for the following: Certificate no.: TÜVSÜD/15085/CL1/361/0/11, Welding works in production and maintenance of rolling stock, in accordance with DIN EN 15085-2, certification level CL-1; Certificate no.: P-SI-11-10-1215-001, Company’s capability for welding works, in accordance with EN ISO 3834-2; Certificate no.: TO-02/10 CT 005/11 :
Production and assembly of pressure vessels and simple pressure vessels, in accordance with HRN EN ISO 3834-2.
